Walk through an immersive environment surrounded by light, and experience the wonder created by the Hayward Gallery's
Light Show. The exhibition, which runs between the 30th January and the 28th April brings together experiential and phenomenal sculptures and installations, which explore the mysterious properties of light. With work ranging from the 1960s to present day, these free-standing sculptures and projections create atmospheric and ambient settings through colour, duration, and the intensity of light. They also how light is used in everyday life and entertainment, from architecture, science, and film.
Light has the power to change our mood in many ways. A dark environment, and make us feel vulnerable, tired, and alone, while a brightly lit world can give us energy and inspiration. The twenty-two artists featured in this exhibit have created artworks that have the ability to alter our perception of space and time, and includes rarely seen or re-created pieces.
Tickets are £11 for adults, £10 seniors, £9 students, and £7.50 for young 12-18.
