Located on the banks of the River Stort, on the outskirts of Harlow town in Essex, the Outdoor Pursuit Centre is the place to go if you want to test yourself. There are lots of different activities on offer, and each of the activities is perfectly suitable for beginners and experts alike.

Having been to the outdoor pursuit centre many a times, I can confirm that it is a brilliant day out, especially if you go with friends or family. You have the choice to do activities such as Climbing, high ropes, mountain biking, problem solving, orienteering and archery on land. All of this is on top of the newest addition to the facilities, the climbing wall, which really is a state of the art piece of equipment.

On the water you've got the chance to try a couple of recent Olympic events in the form of Canoeing and Kayaking, a unique event in "raft building" and the new and rather mysteriously named "Bumble".

So, if you are in London and looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the Olympics, or even just struggling for something to do in the school holidays, ring the Outdoor Pursuit Centre up, book some activities in and come down and enjoy yourself. You really won't regret it, I can promise.
