Some of the most sparkling songs from theatre feature in iconic Tony Award-winning musical Guys & Dolls. Audiences have been spoilt for choice with the likes of Luck Be A Lady, Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat and Guys & Dolls to name just a few.
Theatre-goers will now get the chance to experience these wonderful songs live once again as the show goes on a UK tour, which includes a three-month stint in London's West End at the Savoy Theatre. The tour will also stop-off at cities including Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool.
The sizzling New York tale of gamblers, gangsters and nightclub singers premiered in New York's Broadway in 1950 and was later made into the famous film starring Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons.
It wasn't just the fantastic feel-good musical score that made it hit and award-winner though, it's also the show-stopping choreography.
This latest version is all under the directorship of celebrated New Yorker Gordon Greenberg and features dance numbers by world-renowned Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright, who was behind recent stage productions of Singin' in the Rain and Barnum.
The fast-moving storyline is a mix of romance and gambling antics by a gang of lovable rogues in New York.
Here we find Nathan Detroit, who organises illegal crap games, betting one of the most successful gamblers Sky Masterson that he can't get a date with the honorable leader of the local mission, Sarah Brown.
Nathan has ulterior motives for the bet as he wants to get Sarah out of the way so he can use the mission premises to host his game. Meanwhile, Nathan's long-suffering fiance, showgirl Adelaide, is giving ultimatums of her own after years of waiting for Nathan to finally marry her.
It all comes together for a fun-packed, exhilirating adventure that takes the audience from New York's sewers to the romance of Cuba.
The show is touring after a sell-out run at the Chichester Festival Theatre.
