So, there's this escape room called Guilty at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham, and apparently, it's your last chance to give it a whirl. It's set on selected dates between July 11th and September 28th, 2025. Expect to pay around 27 pounds 50 per person if you round up a group of four to six, which sounds like a steal compared to what a real solicitor would charge.
You'll be plunged back to 1831 Nottingham, a time when King George IV had just shuffled off this mortal coil and King William IV hadn't quite got his crown sorted. Parliament had been dissolved, elections were causing a bit of a kerfuffle, and the city was practically on fire over a pesky thing called the Reform Bill and whether more chaps should get a vote. For an hour, you and your crack team will navigate the rather impressive Grade II listed Georgian museum, from the less desirable slums of Narrowmarsh to the exercise yard and the rather grim gaol. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to untangle puzzles, gather enough evidence to clear your name or, you know, make a run for it. Just a heads up, it's for anyone aged 14 and above, but if you're under 16, you'll need a sensible adult to keep you out of trouble, probably to stop you from actually trying to break out.
