Camden is home to one extremely tasty restaurant called Guanabana. A fusion of pan-asian, Caribbean and South American cuisine all reside in this cosmopolitan restaurant on Kentish Town Road.
One of the venues stand out burgers is their Goat's Cheese and Guava Jam Burger. This appetising menu item takes a toasted brioche bun, with house mayo, a juicy beef patty chargrilled to perfection with a light pink centre, topped with guava jam, salad and the almighty goats cheese block and creates a masterpiece on a plate.
Visually this burger makes you question how you may tackle such a collosal looking beast. If my experience was anything to go by, the almighty knife and fork come in handy. My advice, is to slice it straight down the middle, as you do this the goat's cheese crumbles slightly and fuses with the succulent beef creating an amazing texture and flavour combo for the palate.
The first bite just melts in your mouth. the slight salty balance of the beef and the creamy soft cheese mesh well, with the guava jam providing that slight bit of sweetness to tie the burger together. It does take a while to get through this meal, but every bite is an enjoyable experience.
Reasonably priced and served for lunch and dinner, head to Guanabana and give this tower a red hot go.
