Grimeborn is an annual festival at the Arcola Theatre that celebrates the arrival of new and exciting operas. By 'new', this could mean anything from an adaptation of a traditional production, productions that have been under appreciated, and thus rarely seen, or a completely new and original idea.
The name 'Grimeborn' mocks the 'dinner jacket' formality of Glyndebourne productions. Over the last seven years, the fringe-style festival has grown in confidence, and has attracted audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Grimeborn runs between the 14th August - 7th September with tickets costing £15 or £12 concessions.
