Green Park. The name says all that needs to be said. This enormous green space - one of many in the centre of London - is the perfect chill-out spot for when the sun is beaming down from the cloudless sky. Whether you're reading a book, relaxing on the grass or simply going for a walk, Green Park offers an endless area to do so, with huge patches of naturally beautiful areas dissected by carefully crafted paths for walking through, or even for that morning run.
Covering over 40 acres in the City of Westminster, the park was landscaped all the way back in the early 19th century, and is renowned throughout London for having no buildings or lakes, and only very minimal flowering, thus allowing people to really make the most of the open space available.
With Green Park underground station just seconds away, along with the fact that you're right in the heart of the city, it's the ideal spot to chill out and forget about the world for a minute or two. And with Hyde Park and St James's Park just around the corner, you're never short of a tree to relax under, not that you'll be struggling to find one in this immense area. With all the splendour of Mayfair on one side of you, where The Ritz and other luxurious hotels steal the show, the glory is mirrored on the other side, with none other than Buckingham Palace standing proud just to the south.

There's even plenty of wildlife to be spotted, while the paths lit up at night make the park essential visiting for a late night stroll in the capital. There are always people chilling out in this safe open area, and it would undoubtedly be a shame to take in all that London has to offer without zoning out with a picnic or enjoying some much-needed downtime at Green Park.
