If you love your beer, going along to the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia in London this August really is a no brainer.
The hugely popular five-day event this year features more than 800 real ales, ciders and beers from around the world, meaning you'll probably have to attend
every single day to have a chance of supping everything on offer.
There'll be plenty of special brewery-operated bars serving up a quench-thirsting range of foamy delights, including ones run by the famous
Fuller's, Suffolk-based
Greene King,
Harveys of Sussex, and
Hogs Back from Surrey. From further afield you'll find
Thwaites of Lancashire as well as the
St. Austell Brewery all the way from Cornwall.
Of course, it's not all about beer (though it mostly is). There'll also be a wide range of food on offer – ideal for lining your stomach – and live music acts will be on hand to provide the entertainment. There'll also be lots of traditional pub games dotted about the place, too.
Sponsored by the Campaign for Real Ale – better known as
CAMRA – the
Great British Beer Festival is a fantastic opportunity to try new beers, have some laughs and quite possibly make new friends. Best
grab a ticket or two now before the event sells out.
