Grease. No, not the stuff staining your frying pan. I'm talking about the 1978 film about a bunch of thirty-something year old teenagers falling in love through a musical extravaganza.
Remember it now? Good. If you watch it again, despite your nostalgia, you'll probably realise that the only reason you like it is because of John Travolta's awesome hair or because Olivia Newton John is wearing tight leather pants (the Brit in me wants to say trousers, but somehow that just doesn't evoke the right image). Maybe you're not as shallow as that. Maybe you loved the film because it was such a great quality production ... nah. Let's face it, the best thing about
Grease is the songs. That's why the musical is probably better than the original film.
If you want to relive the magic, then you're in luck, because between the 15th-20th October, the
Grease is stopping at the New Wimbledon Theatre.
Monday-Thursday - 7.30pm
Friday - 5.30pm & 8pm
Saturday - 5pm & 8.30pm
The tickets are a fair price too: £12-£35
There is also a chance to two family tickets to the musical on the 15th October.
