If you have ever watched Grand Designs on TV, then you might think the live show at London ExCel is a bit out of your league. The projects taken on by people on the television show are certainly very ambitious, and only for the very committed, very creative, or very brave. Grand Designs Live , however, caters for all housing projects, whether they be epic builds or minor improvements.

Taking place between 4th - 12th May, standard tickets are between £12-£15, and will grant access to over five hundred exhibitors, talks, demonstrations, and invaluable advice.

Highlights include interior room sets & theatres , expert consultations on subjects like project management, finances, and planning, as well as creative kitchen demonstrations that cover a range of stylish appliances.

The main focus of the show is on sustainability. At the Grand Village , you will be able to view eco show homes and learn about environmentally friendly ways to build the house of your dreams. And even though it is not technically about grand design, you will also get a chance to test drive two new electric-powered cards. Which will you prefer, the Vauxhall Ampera or the Renault ZOE ?
