Lunching in London
Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Baker St, London
This English chain restaurant can be found in most English cities and semi-rural spots, but most of their venues can be found in the capital, London. Gourmet Kitchen Burger is a highly recommended place for those with a hearty appetite.
As its name suggests, this burger loving chain has as many varieties of burgers as you can think of from the classic beef to 'major tom' steak patty. Although their menu focuses on meat dishes, their veggie range feature bean patties, falafel starters and much more for the vegetarians. With their burgers ranging on average from £9 to £10 including a side of fries or side salad, their prices are very reasonable. What's more, with lunch time offers available, a meal can set you back just £6 in all participating restaurants. At popular restaurant locations like Baker Street and Southbank, you'll find deals. Check them out online here.
As for drinks, soft drinks all cost £2.60 and a single spirit with mixers costs £5.85 so drinks prices are similarly reasonable. As for the dessert department, that's perhaps where I have one criticism of GBK. With the option of ice cream only, this place really isn't for you if you have a sweet tooth. Overall service at GBK was fantastic, our food arrived very quickly and contained fresh ingredients. Their 15 minute guarantee even lets guests claim back the cost of their bill if food hasn't arrived within a prompt 15 minutes.
Grab and Go? GBK have it sorted. If you fancy a hearty meal but don't want the wait or sit down service, you can now order to collect for takeaway at any of their UK stores.
