It is one of the best known and best loved fairy tales in history. And the ever popular story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is taking to the stage once again in a new adaptation courtesy of the innovative Stuff and Nonsense theatre company.
Adapted and directed by Niki McCretton, the play has a brilliant mix of ingenious puppetry, music and mischievous moments the whole family will enjoy. And theatre fans in Staffordshire will be able to see it for themselves when Goldilocks and the Three Bears appears at the Lichfield Garrick on May 27.

The familiar story sees the three bears pop out for a stroll to let their food cool down. Ten minutes, tops. But when they return home the house is in a mess and Baby Bear's porridge has vanished completely. Broken chairs, unmade beds and a mysterious visitor all become apparent, but then Baby Bear is taken on a breath-taking adventure that turns his house and his world upside-down!
Stuff and Nonsense was founded in 2000 by family theatre maker, performer and puppeteer Marc Parrett. In 2008 he joined forces with renowned children's theatre maker, producer and performer, Niki McCretton, and they began to work together to present productions which have all toured extensively across the UK.
The company is well known for their energetic, thought-provoking and playfully mischievous theatre productions for children aged from two upwards and their families. They work with children to create ideas, using the power of great imagination, fantastic puppetry and lots of physical action.
See the classic children's story at the Lichfield Garrick on Friday 27 May at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £8.50 for children and £10 for adults, and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling Lichfield Garrick's Box Office on 01543 412121.
