I recently embarked on an activity I have always wanted to try- Paintballing.

I live in Surrey and so there happens to be a couple of Paintballing arenas near by, one is in Woking but the one we went to was situated in Whyteleafe.

Because I'm a lovely person, this was actually a gift to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, as I was sick to death of sitting in restaurants or in a movie theatre, Don't get me wrong, I love a nice meal and a film but I wanted some excitement and a new experience!

We were sent a confirmation email with all the details involving the day including information about a free Papa John's Pizza for lunch- Yum.

The day started at 9am and lasted until 3.30pm and consisted of 6 games in total!

We were split into teams at the start of the day and got suited and booted, with overalls, safety equipment and most importantly the guns which we loaded with paintballs, you can buy the paint balls in bags of 100 up to 500 obviously the price increases the more you get.

I must admit I did have a moment of terror set in for me as I'm only a small girl and all the other people playing seemed to be larger men, but the staff at the event made me feel so comfortable and offered me extra help and strategic advice when needed, which was fantastic!

The games were all set in different arenas where the aim of the game changed every time we had to 'capture the flag', 'gain the majority' and 'protect your base'. These arenas and aims really brought the games to life and the players got stuck into the realities of combat, the staff really got stuck in and helped us in any way possible..whilst getting hit themselves sometimes. Oops!

The only pitfall for me was the pain that the paint balls caused, which you don't notice until after you've been hit and when you see the bruises in the morning!nBut it was great fun and prizes were rewarded at the end of the session for the winning teams.

Overall, an amazing experience and I think it would have been heightened if you were in a bigger group of people, maybe a stag party or birthday!

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who asks and the staff were so nice, a rarity now a days!

Check out their website and try something different!

GO GO GO !
