The wildest pace in Cumbria is
Go Ape . You will always have fun when you are in Grizedale Forest at Go Ape, with heart thumping highs in the highest trees in the land.
When you get there you will be amazed by the views of the Cumbria Hills and the lakes in the vales. You will never see views like these in your life ever in the world.
After you arrive you will get into a harness and have it checked first by the instructor. When the instructor gives you the all clear, you can practise so that you know how to clip on and off again on the tree and the wires. This takes time, but it is better safe than sorry. You will have to wait for the rest of your group.
Then there's the training course. The whole group will have a go on the training course. There is a zip line at the end of the course and that is fun, but the landing is not as much fun as going down the line. When everybody has completed the training course, the really fun beings.
The fun really starts when you get on the first course; get ready for the time of you life . This is a test because this is the hardest part of the whole of the park. If you can do this you can do anything on the go ape course. You just have to know that you can do anything if you get throw this part the course. the fun part is when you get the zip line and let go and fell free as you go over the trees and see the views from that high in the air.
If you will make your way around the park in your own time as slow or as fast as you want. If you are not some who like to go fast you can at snail pace if you what. The really fast people just want to get it over and done with most likely and they are not mind the high you are at in the trees.
There are five main course all over the park. The really, really big zip wire gives you time to look down at the amazing view; it's not all over in 50 seconds and you can get a good look at Grizedale Forest and the people walking their dogs below. If you don't want to go up in the trees and you can go biking down the mountain instead. There are also paths throughout the forest where you can get good photos of the flowers and the people zipping along the trees.
Go Ape is a great family day out, even if you don't want to go up in the trees.
