Last weekend
Wandsworth was getting its community active with lots of sporting activities. Now Hampstead wants in on the act, and is calling locals to
Give it a Go. The festival on the 20th July will take place on Parliament Hill at Hampstead Heath, and has free entry to all from 1pm - 5pm.
Hampstead Heath is one of London's most popular open spaces; with beautiful countryside scenery, an abundance of wildlife, and plenty of sporting facilities, which includes three swimming ponds and a Lido.
So what do they want you to come and have a go at? Well at te top of the cards is the launch of the world's first all-weather three-a-side ping pong table created and manufactured by
T3. You will be able to see professional players in action, and get some ands on training. There will also be coaching for rugby, bowls, tennis.
Other sports include croquet at Golders Hill Park, athletics, wall climbing, and kung-fu. Children fourteen plus will also be able to try out a Duke of Edinburgh Assault course; if they enjoy it, they can then sign up for the scheme at school. There are plenty of other ways to get fit without noticing, such as circus workshops, Nordic walks, Zumba, street dance, silent disco, and fun sports day races from the egg & spoon to Spacehoppers.

Dance Performances
The Give it a Go Festival will also provide health checks, police displays, bike markings, music, dance performances, and a feature Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

Don't forget to visit the on site fairground, have your face & nails painted, get into fancy dress, and make yourself a smoothie by riding a bicycle.
