Gino Gelato @ Leicester Square

London, a city thriving with culture, food and entertainment is the home for many competing ice creameries. Having ventured on a beautiful sunny Sunday through Soho, a friend and I made our way to the well known Trafalgar Square.
Keen for a sweet treat, a cute little gelato pit stop caught our eye, Gino Gelato was its name. We entered the shop and were smiling ear to ear with the selection available to us. After scanning the display I opted on my favourite two flavours, Peanut Butter & Coconut.
For those of you who may not be aware of the difference between gelato and ice cream, I am here to break it down for you. The only thing you really need to know is that Gelato has half the fat of ice cream. I believe this is the most important piece of information.
Gino Gelato takes gelato one step further as they are artisan gelato makers, meaning that they use natural wholesome ingredients, without the artificial colours, flavourings, preservatives or hydrogenated fats found in cheap imitation gelato.
Gino Gelato boasts a range of over 40 flavours ranging from milk based gelato to sorbets and speciality combinations (such as fig & honey or mojito).
One scoop will set you back £2.95 but is definitely worth the coin, especially if you have been trekking all over London. It is refreshing and tastes amazing. A definite must if you find yourself at either Trafalgar or Leicester Square.
