We've all heard of Cirque du Soleil and Zippo's Circus. These troupes have been known to give the greatest shows on earth. Gerry Cottle's Circus, on the other hand, claims to be the 'happiest show on earth'. His troupe is made up of a team of proud British youths from the Wookey Hole School, fabulous guest acts, and his own family magic act. They pride themselves on not being 'just another circus', but providing a wild, wacky whirlwind of a ride, with cabaret, carnival, circus, comedy, and daredevil acts.
They are currently performing the WOW Show at Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith until the 17th September, then from the 19th - 22nd, they will be at Hackney Downs. There is a lot to fit in a hundred minutes, including the Rock 'n' Roller skaters, the Magical Melivilles, Voodoo Warriors, a couple of BMX superstars, colourful conga lines, acrobatics, a pirate party, and much more. It all builds up to their Great British Finale, in which both performers and Union Jacks will fly. Tickets are between £9-£25.
