If you're looking for cheap drinks, cheesy pop and a fun time with your friends, then G.A.Y is the place to go. Boasting a prominent corner spot on the edge of Manchester's infamous Canal Street, you won't miss it! The sign sparkles and glitters and invites you in - unlike however, the door staff!

G.A.Y lets itself down with a rather secular view on who is let in - it's the year 2012, but if you don't fit the bill, unfortunately you are turned away.

Picture this -the sun is shining and you have been enjoying the "any drinks for 90p in the week" offer. You sat outside with your friends, having a good laugh. When it gets a little later, it goes a bit chilly, so you relocate to inside. However, now the bouncer is on the door and he says those words -"Sorry, regulars only."

To someone who has been here on a regular basis, this translates to "Gays only!"

So if you don't want to risk being discriminated for being straight or if you are with a big group who don't fit in with "the scene", take advantage of the cheap drinks during the day, then move on.
