The horrific Grenfell fire in London has moved people around the country to take action to support the survivors and families of the victims. Among them is choreographer and former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Arlene Phillips.

Arlene is bringing together some of the world's leading dancers for a special gala to raise money for those whose lives have been seriously affected by the tragedy. The one-off charity event takes place at the Adelphi Theatre on July 30.

Gala For Grenfell is directed by Arlene who has brought together dancers from across the world to perform including stars from Strictly Come Dancing, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, The Mariinsky Ballet featuring Xander Parish and Ballet Black.

There will also be performances from leading dancers and dance companies, including The Royal Ballet with Edward Watson, ZooNation and Rambert.

Among the highlights will be Danny Collins and Rachel Muldoon performing Drew McOnie's choreography from 2016's Jekyll & Hyde at the Old Vic plus Jonny Labey and Chrissie Brooke, the Dance Dance Dance champions.

Arlene Phillips said: "I remember waking up in the morning and thinking 'here goes another day', only to switch on the TV to watch the news and suddenly see an image so powerful you can't move, knowing so many lives have been changed forever.

"As the days went by, I began to wonder if there was a way that I could help, maybe even make a small difference. I thought dance is my world, my life, so how could I galvanise and bring the dance community together to raise funds for those who need it most, now and into the future."

Gala for Grenfell has been organised by Arlene Phillips CBE, Graham Watts OBE and Guy Chapman for Target Live to provide emergency relief funding for those by the Grenfell Tower fire.

On June 14, a tragic blaze engulfed all 129 flats within the North Kensington building. Funds raised by Gala for Grenfell will go to support the many whose lives were seriously affected by the fire.

All proceeds will go via The K&C Foundation.

Book tickets via the Gala For Grenfell website.

Tickets are priced from £85 - £200.
