Birmingham is ready for the Futsal Cup Final
A battle of skilful futsallers is about to happen at the LG Arena, on Sunday 27th April.
As an event sponsored by Soccer AM and powered by NCS, the Futsal Cup will bring the four best teams to the final of the competition at the Birmingham Indoor Arena.
Presented by Soccer AM's Max Rushden, the tournament will see Leeds United, Grimsby Town, Notts County and Derby County compete to reach their place at the final of the Futsal Cup.
Four five-a-side teams of under 18s will bring their game in the hope of winning the coveted title in front of the arena's crowds. They've beaten off 46 other teams from eight regional divisions meaning the pressure's on to perform.
History: Originating in South America, Futsal has been played by some of the most skilful players in the world including Ronaldo and Pele, who developed their footballing skills through Futsal. The game uses smaller balls and fewer players, with many believing the game demands greater skill, precision and creativity.
After the game, the crowd will be treated to a 'Night Futsal' spectacle as renowned Futsal freestylers Dan Magness and John Farnworth show off their speed, skills and agility in a celebratory UV lit display. NCS will also recreate Soccer AM's signature 'Header Bin Challenge' with a difference.
The Futsal players, youtuber Jake Boys, Daniel Cutting and Mandem On The Wall will form a unique team that will attempt to head a football across the pitch without dropping it.
50 free tickets for the final are also up for grabs for people to come along and watch the excitement. It's an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 15 – 17 year olds in England and Northern Ireland.
