Poptastic performances on offer at huge music show
Birmingham's second Fusion Festival takes place at Cofton Park in Longbridge on August 30 and 31, 2014.

Fusion Festival 2014, Jessie J
Headliner: Jessie J

The star-studded bill includes headliners Pitbull on Saturday and Jessie J on Sunday. There are loads of other pop acts to look out for Dizzee Rascal and Rizzle Kicks appear on August 30, while The Wanted and Foxes are sure to be popular on August 31.

Who else should you check out?

It will be a good chance to see what teenage band The Vamps (August 30) have to offer ahead of their headline tour which reaches Birmingham NIA on October 5.

Fusion Festival 2014, The Vamps
Meet the band: The Vamps

It has been an exciting year so far for singer Bradley Will Simpson, guitarist James McVey, drummer Tristan Evans and bassist Connor Ball.

In April, the four-piece reached number two in the UK charts with their 15-track debut album, Meet The Vamps.

During visits to Japan and Australia they caused pandemonium and on the internet their song Can We Dance has clocked up over 16.7 million YouTube views, while Wild Heart has over 9.6 million and Last Night has had over 7.5 million views. Their Facebook account has over one million followers.

Fusion Festival 2014, Pixie Lott
New album: Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott will be promoting her new self-titled album on August 31. The record, her third long-player, was recorded in New York and London and was inspired by Pixie's love of 1960's fashion and soul music. She took samples and sounds from the Stax Records she'd heard as a child and mixed them with modern beats and contemporary production.

Pixie's debut album, 2009's Turn It Up, sold over one million copies worldwide and was followed by Young Foolish Happy in 2011. Those albums spawned three Number one singles Mama Do, Boys And Girls and All About Tonight. She showed her acting skills when she featured in the recent series of Inspector George Gently on BBC television.

Fusion Festival 2014, Union J
X Factor success: Union J

Two years ago Union J were talented hopefuls but following their appearance on the 2012 series of The X Factor there has been no stopping their success. They are at the Fusion Festival on August 31.

Their debut hit single, Carry You, the follow up Beautiful Life and their self-titled debut album, all hit the Top 10 in 2013 before they set off on a major sold out 18 date tour across the UK and Ireland. They also released two books and launched their own merchandise range including dolls, fragrances, stationery, and jewellery.

Josh, JJ, Jaymi and George are now gearing up for the release of their second album which has been preceded by the single Tonight (We Live Forever).

Fusion Festival 2014, Neon Jungle
Whirlwind: Neon Jungle

It has been a whirlwind year for Neon Jungle who perform at Fusion on August 30. Bandmates Jess (21), Amira (18), Asami (18) and Shereen (17), who already have a handful of hit singles and a debut album under their belts, were chosen by iconic lingerie brand Victoria's Secret to perform at their legendary fashion show in New York.

If that wasn't enough, the girls have also toured with Jessie J, have been snapped up by model agency Storm, and have performed at T In The Park, Isle of Wight Festival and V Festival.
