There was a time when the cinema showed films in 2D. Now we get 3D screenings. There was a time when theatres presented shows on a stage in front of you. Now we get a full 360 degree view. Flying up above, crawling down below, jumping from behind,
Fuerzabruta is an experimental spectacular full of audience interaction.
Created by Diqui James in 2005, the show was first performed in Buenos Aires. It's success led to a world tour, including a visit to the Roundhouse, where it became the theatre's fastest selling show in history. If you missed out last time or just can't resist seeing it again, you now have a second chance.
Between the 23rd December - 2nd March another hundred performances are scheduled to take place. Tickets are between £32.50-£46.50.
So what should you expect? It is a fusion of carnival, circus, and mind blowing visual effects, with men burst through walls, flying through the air, and water suspended above your head. You will get dirty. You will get wet. You will have the time of your life.
Fuerzabruta would make a fabulous New Year's Eve celebration too. After the 10pm show on the 31st December, there will be a party on the main stage. Soundtracks will be provided by legendary
NYC Downlow DJs.
