My first time at the University of Leeds student union's biggest night "Fruity Friday'" was during freshers week 2011. It was the 10th year anniversary of the event and was a fantastic night. However I always put the success of the night down to it being freshers and their big anniversary - I could not have been more wrong.

I fell into a trap of being the typical Leeds student who saw Fruity as being "too mainstream" and always opting for nights at Warehouse for "Sticky Feet".

This year for whatever reason, my house and I have decided to give Fruity another chance. I can now not stress enough how much I love the place, I admit it, I'm a Fruity Addict.

Firstly with tickets only being £4.50 ( for an E Ticket) in comparison to Warehouse's £6 entry and drinks being on par with that of any other typical nightclub in Leeds, it really is a winner in my eyes.

The club is split into three seconds, with a range of great music and also great theme nights.

" FRUITY likes to keep you entertained throughout term with infamous theme nights such as Skool Disco, PJ Party, Ibiza Foam and UV Paint Parties. FRUITY also likes to mix things up a bit with celebrity guest appearances and live performances. Previous VIP's have included; Joey Essex (TOWIE), Wretch 32, Stooshe, Ollie & Binky (Made in Chelsea), Teddy (90210), Scott Mills (Radio 1) and many, many more."

What's not to love!

So go check it out, just because it's in the University Union should not put people off this fantastic night!
