I have to say, before anything else - I LOVE THIS STORE!

Fruit and Nut Company is a family-owned and operated business in Alley One (Number 36) of Grainger Market. Working on a wholesale to retail model, the store has a fantastic variety of dried fruits, nuts, grains, beans, legumes and sweets.

Compared with supermarkets the prices are incredible, with most items between 10 and 80 pence per 100 grams. I usually stock up on dried banana chips, cereals (DIY muesli is not only easy but very healthy), and a few varieties of lentils.



The stocked items generally do not vary much, except that there will sometimes be a branded cereal available. Although I've never purchased these, you can also get a variety of cooking ingredients such as vegetable stocks, gravy powder and cornflour.

Eftpos is available, though you hardly need it considering so much can be bought with just the loose change in your pocket! Fruit and Nut Company is open 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday to Saturday.
