Frieze Masters is an historical art fair that compares the relationship between old and new art. With talks and lectures, you will be able to gain insight into the work on display from artists, critics, and curators, who will be giving a contemporary perspective.
Frieze Masters takes place between the 17th-20th October at the Frieze gallery in Regent's Park. It will include work from some of the leading galleries around world, such as the Dan Galeria in São Paulo, New York's Dominique Lévy Gallery, the Galerie Malingue in Paris, and London's own Dickinson. In total, fifteen countries will be participating in the fair, and they will showcase art ranging from Old Masters up to the year 2000. There will also be a spotlight on certain solo artists, that focus in on specific periods throughout history.
A standard adult ticket is £32 plus a booking fee, but you can also book a tour for an additional £16, in which professional guides will walk you round the fair, providing background information. Concessions are £23, a child's ticket is £20, and all talks are inclusive. Topics covered include Brazilian culture, Renaissance oil paintings, photography, and painting techniques.
