Works by top artists including Reuben Colley, Caroline Jariwala, John Devane and Colin Carruthers will be up for grabs at a charity auction in Birmingham.

The event, on Friday November 13, will be raising funds for Freedom from Torture which supports refugees who have fled their countries due to persecution.

Taking place at Edgbaston Priory Club in Sir Harrys Road from 7pm, the auction will also feature donations from the Castle Gallery, the Purple Gallery and Sigmund and Jocelyn Fine Art.

Freedom from Torture's Birmingham treatment centre opened in the Jewellery Quarter in 2009 and provides psychological therapy as well as medical, legal and practical support for survivors of torture.

In Birmingham the charity currently helps adults, children and families from countries including Sri Lanka, Iran, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Freedom from Torture was founded in London in 1985 and the auction marks the charity's 30th anniversary.
