FREE LEGO kits for kids
Most kids are LEGOŽ obsessed and they also love collecting cute things such as miniatures.
So this free event will suit them on a couple of levels.
Parents like to see kids out doing something constructive and even better when the activity is free.
The free sessions happen on the first Tuesday of the month starting at 5pm.
Kids queue up early to ensure they don't miss out. Sometimes from around 3.15 to 4.30 or so depending on variables such as the season and whether it is school holidays or not.
Each LEGOŽ store has 250 of the same free models. One month its a penguin, another a crab, another an igloo and so on.
All are cute and highly covetable.
Despite their size they are usually made from quite a few pieces. So it is worth it for kids just to add some extra LEGOŽ to their set.
The kids are given plans but assistance is also given where needed.
You cannot, however, just take your free kit and run. The expectation is that you complete the object in store.
You do however get to take your model home for free.
The models cannot be purchased which makes them that bit more special and more collectable for kids.
The best thing you can do about a queue is to come prepared and perhaps take it in turns to hold your child's place.
There is quite a cute Youtube clip below showing one of the free kits plus highlighting perhaps just how much many adults are obsessed with Lego as well!
You can ask your at local LEGOŽ store for more details about these sessions.
