Midlands Arts Centre is offering a programme of free online activities for families including theatre, music and crafts this spring.

Babies' Academy of Music: Home from Home will be holding online interactive family concerts on Tuesday 16 and Tuesday 23 February at 11am. Led by musicians, these concerts celebrate music by sharing instruments, styles, movements and sounds and are designed for babies and early years children.

Musician Maris Rosas hosts a Virtual Come and Sing with MAC Makes Music on Tuesday 16 February at 11am. Aimed at children and young people of all abilities, the show features songs from around the world.

Children can enjoy a draw-a-long production of the hit show The Boy Who Bit Picasso on Saturday 6 March at 11am. Based on Antony Penrose's book of the same title, the show is brought by Jake Oldershaw and will encourage children to have a go at creating their own art inspired by Picasso.

These events are free but places need to be booked in advance.

Throughout half-term week, from 13-21 February, MAC is also streaming Colour Box Online: With a Little Help from our Friends, a series of short films about friendship. In partnership with Flatpack Film Festival, the programme features stories from as far afield as the USA, Australia, Japan and Hungary.
