Free classes have been launched in Worcestershire to help jobseekers keep their skills updated and ready for work during the Coronavirus outbreak.



The online courses take place over Zoom and include everything from how to write a CV to using apps and social media to improve your job search and skills.

There are also courses for those who are keen to start up their own business and become self-employed following the lockdown.

Worcestershire Adult Learning is behind the Employability Suite of courses taking place from May and over the summer.

Anyone interested must sign up for each course in advance of the start date at this link here . They can also get help on using Zoom and downloading it before the course starts.

People can dip in and out choosing some of the courses or completing all of them in a series. The list of course dates is detailed below.



Motivation For Work

A starter course to explore individual attributes - personality, skills assessment, motivation and job search skills.

Get Online Savvy For Work

Beginner's guide to using apps, social media and Zoom and basic overview of how they can help your search for a new job. Ideal for those who want to upgrade their online skills.

Transferring Skills For Work
Next step course focusing specifically on transferable skills to support the development of a CV. (By the end of the course you will have produced a CV)

Apps For Job Search

Focusing specifically on using Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Zoom for Job Search and applications. Plus how to get noticed and develop a profile on Linkedin. Ideal for those who are comfortable using the internet and apps.

Focusing specifically on setting up your own business. Looking at branding, public liability insurance, accounts and putting your business out there online.
