In 2016 they launched the single Snake Eyes as Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World on Radio 1 and it went on to be added to the Radio 1 In New Music We Trust Playlist. They then performed at London's legendary Maida Vale studios for a BBC Radio 1 session, with Frank whipping the crowd into a frenzy. The singer picked up the Spirit Of Punk award at the Kerrang! Magazine Awards, before flying off to Nova Festival and then returning for a wild, riotous Download Festival. European festivals followed, with a headline UK tour which concluded at Wolverhampton's Slade Rooms.
Their second studio album, Modern Ruin, was released in January 2017.
The new tour is being supported by the makers of Sailor Jerry rum who are organising competitions and promotions for gig-goers. Heavily-tattooed Frank is a well-regarded tattooist himself and some fans will win the honour of being inked by Frank before each gig.
Frank has history with famous American tattoo artist Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins – he once co-owned a studio with tattooist Keith Underwood, who worked with Norman Collins.
Well-regarded: Frank Carter
Says Frank: "When I first saw Sailor Jerry tattoos, it had the same impact as the first time I heard Black Flag, the first time I saw Descent From The Cross, the first time I watched Apocalypse Now; suddenly the world made more sense, and I felt like I knew more about myself than I did before.
"As an avid collector of tattoo memorabilia I have many sheets of original Sailor Jerry tattoo sketches. As such, I decided to make some time available on the tour to let people come and see my collection and choose a tattoo to be applied by me."
Other prizes on offer include gig tickets, soundcheck passes and signed photographs.
