Frank Bruno MBE is a much loved sporting hero and media favourite. After a successful boxing career where he became one of the most well known boxing stars Frank became an entertainer performing in panto and making TV appearances. He easily transitioned from sporting star to entertainer, but behind the scenes he was struggling with mental health issues. Fans will love this chance to gain insight into how Frank coped with fame and hear about his life. It will be interesting to hear about Frank's struggle with mental health and how he was open and honest in the media about his struggles in order to raise awareness.
The night is hosted by comedian Jed Stone, who will lead the conversation where the audience can learn about Frank's life, boxing career and new book. His book called Let Me Be Frank describes his experience of being sectioned, the medical treatment he received and his fight to rebuild his life. Hear the story from the man himself and learn how he has become a champion of supporting people with mental health problems especially those in the sports industry who he feels are overlooked and receive a lack of support.
Taking place on Thursday 8th February at the Palace Theatre between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.Tickets cost between £32.15-£34.15 and ATG theatre card holders can purchase a reduced price ticket.
