To escargot or to escar-stay? That is the question. If you have been thinking about a trip to France, but haven't quite made your mind up yet, then a day at the France Show might help you decide - or even act as a substitute.

It is not very often that one becomes a tourist in their own city, but when hundreds of French residences flock into Earls Court between 17th-19th January, you're going to be the one feeling like you've visited a foreign country.

The biggest celebration of French lifestyle and property ever staged in the UK, The France Show encapsulates everything French under one roof. Perhaps you are considering buying a continental holiday home, or maybe you just like French cuisine; either way, The France Show will provide everything you need, whether it be a well advised estate agent or a culinary cook. Tickets are 10 in advance or 13 at the door. On top of that, you can also book up to nine wine seminars at 5 each. The programmed includes an introduction to Languedoc Roussillon wines, a selection of champagnes, and a Great Bordeaux Tasting Tour. If wine doesn't suit your palette, then maybe an armagnac tasting would be more up your street.

To experience other aspects of French culture, listen to Gypsy Jazz music by the Barrett Brothers as they perform on the acoustic guitar, or attend a talk given by author, Carol Drinkwater.

If you've decided that France is your next holiday destination, now you have to decide what to do when you get there. Maybe a river cruise or a skiing adventure, hiking in Burgandy, horse riding in Vienne? J'adore La France can help tailor make your perfect holiday.

If you just can't get enough, then consider a more permanent alternative. The French Property Exhibition bring together estate agents, developers, solicitors, banks, and other professionals to provide advice if you want to buy a property.

If you are going to live in France, then it may be a good idea to learn the language. The France Show offers several fun ways to get to grips with the language, including an exchange programme.
