Another happy accident...

I was walking along Columbia Road (of flower market fame), when I came across this fantastic name - and let's face it, with a name like this I wasn't going to pass up the chance to know more about it.

So in I went to and this is what I found out. It is a bottle shop and wine bar, putting it somewhere between an off license and a wine bar if you prefer. It sells a lovely range of craft beer and cider , a lot of which are locally sourced from the Hackney to Bermondsey areas.

As well as these there are a range of spirits on offer - again sourced from a slightly larger area, but still with a focus on local independents. Then, of course, you have wines. Again, lot's of choice, and on certain days they will waver the corkage charge, so you can take a bottle and drink it inside for exactly the price you paid for it - nice.

Need any more reasons to come? Well, they have a hot hatch for food, should you get peckish, and then there is events night on a Wednesday too...put all that together and you can see it is well worth your time getting along there.

What more can I do to persuade you? Well, events that have been held here in the past tend to indicate they are keen on activities such as wine tasting, talks and the like - so if you fancy a bit of cultured relaxation (and who doesn't?), you may well have found your place...
