A Melodic Rock triple bill is heading for the UK with Foreigner, Europe and FM touring together for the first time. The nine date tour kicks off at Manchester O2 Apollo on April 3, 2014 and visits Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Sheffield, Portsmouth, Bristol and London before concluding at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on April 15.

Foreigner boast 16 Top 30 hits, ten multi-platinum albums and total album sales of more than 75 million. They are responsible for such rock anthems as Cold As Ice, Feels Like The First Time, Waiting For A Girl Like You and I Want To Know What Love Is.

At the band's core is founder member and lead guitarist Mick Jones who was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame by Billy Joel in June this year. Portsmouth-born Mick is joined on stage by singer Kelly Hansen, bassist Jeff Pilson and multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel.

''I'm thrilled to be coming back home to England and touring with Europe and FM,'' says Mick. ''We're looking forward to having a great time.''

Europe were part of the '80s Hair Metal scene, enjoying hits like The Final Countdown, Rock The Night and Carrie. While many of their contemporaries have long departed the music business Europe have adapted to modern trends and produced a series of acclaimed albums. Start From The Dark, Secret Society, Last Look At Eden and their most recent studio recording, Bag Of Bones, have helped the Swedish outfit make a remarkable comeback.

They recently toured Spain with Def Leppard and Whitesnake and Bag Of Bones has yielded three radio hits in the UK, Not Supposed To Sing The Blues, Firebox and Demon Head.

Europe's line-up is singer Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, keyboardist Mic Michaeli, bassist John Leven and drummer Ian Haughland.

Opening act: FM

Opening each concert will be FM who, since forming in 1984, have toured with the likes of Status Quo, Bon Jovi, Meat Loaf and Tina Turner. Album releases include debut Indiscreet, 1989's Tough It Out and 1992's Aphrodisiac.

In 2007, after a 12 year sabbatical, they headlined the sold-out Firefest IV at Nottingham's Rock City and in 2010 released their sixth studio album, Metropolis. Earlier this year singer/ guitarist Steve Overland, bassist Merv Goldsworthy, guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick, keyboardist Jem Davis and drummer Pete Jupp released two albums, Rockville and Rockville II.
