It's Monday. And don't we folks hate Mondays. Another five working days until the weekend and a lie in. But if you find music helps you relax, the Monday doesn't have to be so bad after all, because every fortnight, the Green Note in Camden has a Folk on Monday , where you'll find the finest players in folk, roots, and acoustic music from 8.30pm.

Tonight (21st October), Maz O'Connor will be playing. Her debut album, Upon a Stranger Shore, was released in 2012, and she finished a sell-out tour last spring. Although it is late notice, you don't have to worry about bookings, as tickets can be bought for £12 at the door.



If you wish to wait until the next gig, you can buy advanced tickets £8 for Michael J Tinker and Tim Graham & Rose Lippard on the 4th November.

There is a schedule that runs all the way into August next year, so there is plenty of time to decide who you would like to see. For example, on the 25th November, Caz Forbes and Ste Moncrieff will be performing a concert to promote the launch of their new CD; it includes ballads, shanties and beautiful harmonics that require no additional vocals. They will later be supporting musicians to Jackie Oates on 3rd February.
