If you love thrills and spills, you'll love Flamingo Land Theme Park. With its seven themed parks including children's planet, for the little kiddies, Lost Kingdom, with its African Plains, Swoosh and Splash and its eight extreme rides including the record breaking Mumbo Jumbo, there really is something for everybody.
For the younger children there is an indoor and outdoor soft play area so if your youngster is not a fan of being thrown about on rides they will love chilling out in one of these areas,
Flamingo Land offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars, it boasts up to seven cafes each offering homemade treats for all and freshly brewed Costa or Starbuck's coffee.
If you get fed up of the rides, you could also visit the conservation zoo. With its vast array of animals including tigers, giraffes and penguins, the muddy duck farm selection and the 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds, it is one of the largest conservation zoos in England. If you love animals and want to get up close and personal with them, you could always sign up to be a zoo keeper for the day. We did this for our son's 11th birthday and he loved it and got so much out of it. He fed the animals and cleaned out stalls and even had lemurs jumping all over him. Anybody who has an animal lover, I would highly recommend this experience.
Set in 375 acres of North Yorkshire Countryside, Flamingo Land also offers accommodation, with its gold and platinum holiday homes, 5 star log cabins, luxury Boston lodges and spectacular Ridgewood lodges, there is something to suit anybody's budget. Flamingo Land also offers a leisure and fitness centre, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and spa and a 9 hole golf course. Unfortunately theses facilities are for holiday guests only.
I would definitely recommend going to Flamingo Land, there really is something for everybody. A family ticket will set you back £104 if you book it online offering a saving of £12.
