Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Covent Garden

Being a lover of good food (especially a juicy burger), I was ecstatic when my friend in London invited my boyfriend and I to sample the delights on offer at the recently opened Five Guys near Leicester Square.

At Five Guys, the ordering system is rather hectic, but it is all worth it once you have your meal in front of you. The food is prepared very quickly, but you have to switch queues and decide what you want in a flash. The food is presented to you in a brown paper bag, as if you've ordered a classic American take-out meal. The options for drinks are also pretty impressive, for £2.50, you are given one drinks cup with endless refills. The drinks machines present you with endless possibilities and combinations, for example, peach Fanta and strawberry Pepsi!





The burgers come in two sizes, standard (two patties) and 'little' (one patty), so you can adapt your burger to suit your level of hunger. Peanuts come free, so be careful not to fill up too much on these! Prices are quite reasonable at £6.75 for a standard and £4.75 for a 'little'. Cheeseburgers are a little more expensive at £8 for a standard, £5.50 for a 'little'. Don't be fooled into thinking you can get burgers like this for 99p at McDonald's, these burgers are far more flavoursome and better made.





All of the additional burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, gherkins, onions, various sauces and many more) are free, which means getting the most out of your meal is very easy and great value. There is also an option to go 'all the way', which means having all of the toppings available.

Five Guys is definitely worth a visit if you're a lover of burgers and classic American fast food. If, however, you prefer to be waited on with a stress-free ordering process, Five Guys perhaps isn't the place for you.
