It is a fact acknowledged London-wide that one cannot go to Borough Market without having a pre-arranged sustenance escape route planned. The shiny beacon of the restaurant Fish! overlooking the Market and Southwark Cathedral is a great place to have a relaxing lunch amidst the bustling market.

With simplicity in mind, the restaurant for fishmongers has a variety of fish – organic salmon, plaice, swordfish, squid - cooked the way the patron chooses and with a selection of side dishes, or a menu of starters and main courses each between £10 and £23. The scallops wrapped in pancetta combine delicious flavours, the monkfish is fresh and subtle and the squid is firm and juicy.

The high glass ceilings and open kitchen create a vibrant but low-key atmosphere at both lunch time and evenings and produce comes fresh from Jarvis the Fish!-monger. If a sit-down dinner is too time-consuming, a fresh and tasty Fish! and chips take away is round the corner from the restaurant.
