You have to visit this place - if for the name alone.
I would give
my vote for 'Best Name For A Shop...Ever', if such a thing were to exist - because it is simply inspired (by the way, secondary to this, purple is my favourite colour - so the choice of store colour pleases also)
So what can you find here? Well, it is actually a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, though the inspiration is quite liberal when describing the food on offer, which includes the rather non-Mediterranean traditional British Sunday lunch on a Sunday. Don't read this is a criticism however, as this in fact is one of the charms of the venue - the choice means you are sure to be excited by the menu and have a chance to mix and match foods you normally wouldn't have the chance to. They do good sized portions, and specialise in meats and fish so there will easily be something to suit your taste, whatever that may be.
The main reason for going here though is the prices, which are generous in the extreme - two courses are included in the
standard set menu - for an unbelievable £12, with the aforementioned Sunday lunch being even cheaper (£10 for two people). As you can imagine, it is difficult to find this kind of value within any London postcode, so it really is worth taking note of.
There is a nice selection of wines and cocktails to choose from to accompany your meal, so really all boxes are ticked.
If you want to go somewhere that will put a smile on your face as soon as you walk through the door, have a real choice of good value food, and not have to worry about budgeting for it, well you know what to look for - a certain sea creature wearing a certain neck adornment.
The only heavy feeling you will have will be your pockets, with all the money you potentially saved.
