Shakespeare or musicals, you decide, as Fulham Palace puts on a summer series of film and theatre. Something wicked this way comes as the historic site plays host to the Illyria Open Air Theatre Company . Performed on a seventeenth century style stage, Illyria will perform Shakespeare's Macbeth on the 26th July and Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance on the 17th August. Both shows are suitable for anyone over five years old, with tickets costing £12 for adults, £8 children, and £2 for under threes. The shows will take place in the Walled Garden at 2pm and 3.30pm respectively.

After the dramatics of the theatre, enjoy the dramas that unfold if three film musicals. Starting on the 28th August with Dirty Dancing , Nomad Cinema will also present Footloose on the 4th September and Singin' in the Rain on the 11th September. Hopefully the weather will hold up long enough so you don't have to watch it in the rain as well. Tickets are £12.50 for adults and £8.50 concessions.
