Greenwich's ready for its close-up
Ever wondered what happens on a film shoot? I am proud to present a sneak preview of the latest Hollywood blockbuster, which might be coming to a cinema near you later in the New year. Shot on location at the former Royal Naval College in Greenwich, South East London, Weekend Notes goes behind the scenes to get spyshots of this new production (all photographs are copyright of Chris Henniker).

This gives you some clues as to what genre this film might be. Dare to fathom a guess?

Disaster film, perhaps?

All aboard for the white knuckle ride of 2013.

The Greenwich Campus of the University of Greenwich is home to loads of film shoots, but this is the calm before the storm of "lights, camera, action!

Even when it's seemingly calm, the storm of activity rages behind the scenes.

A film shoot attracts gawpers from around the area. Even when they shoot, these are sometimes open sets where you can walk through during down time. Incidentally, for bus enthusiasts amongst you, the bus is not a real route. The 700-800 designation is for Green Line Coach services.
