Enter The Imaginarium

Who doesn't love the sound of an Imaginarium? A place where you can be inspired and let your creativity run loose. Selfridges have invented just that. The department store on Oxford Street commissioned award winning architect, Rem Koolhaas to design a modern day amphitheatre especially for their Festival of Imagination. The event, which runs until the 2nd March, is a 'portal into the creative mind'.

Come can take part in a series of engaging discussions, debates, lectures, and workshops, such as a poetry reading by Carol Ann Duffy, interactive science experiments, and discussions bio fashion. In the future could our clothes be grown rather than sewn?

Find out what kind of memories and emotions are triggered when different types of songs are played. Take a 'Kickasana' class, which fuses Thai boxing, yoga, breathing, stretching and creative visualisation. You will also be able to attend a wine workshop, and learn how the geography of a vineyard affects the taste of a wine.

As well as these exciting events, you will be able to explore a range of artwork displayed in the store windows. For example, the Vitamins Inventors have created a static animation that comes to life as you approach it, and The Butcher's Apron have set up a pop-up radio shed to broadcast from.

Want some innovations of your own? The Imagination Concept Store has a range of pioneering products of the future.
