Designer boutique Feathers is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a series of photographs by Jay McLaughin. Several pictures are displayed among the racks and complement boutique's design in an elegant way.
Just opposite Harrods's east wall, in small but mighty Hans Crescent, lays hidden
the elegant boutique Feathers . Founded by the Burstein family in 1968, Feathers moved into the luxurious Knightsbridge in 1974. For years they've been offering well known designers brands such as Alexander McQueen, Moschino and Mary Katranzou as well as emerging artists of the fashion scene.
Now, they've put together their fashion expertise with photographic experience of Jay
McLaughin, fashion and celebrity photographer , to celebrate their 40th anniversary, among other events. What else can better emphasise the beauty and delicacy of fashion than great black and white pictures? Jay McLaughin captured several portraits of models dressed up in designers' clothes – some of them with feathers to relate to the boutique's name. Altogether they create a stunning picture of modern fashion and are a great addition to the shop's simple interior design.
The exhibition is a good reason to visit the shop and browse through the clothes they offer.
Pictures will be presented in the boutique until the end of September and one of them will be also part of FASHIONatMELONDON during London Fashion Week and will be displayed on a large window at ME LONDON Hotel on the Strand.
