Rubber duck races have long been used as a way for charities to raise funds. They are a great family event with so much excitement around the bobbing yellow ducks as they race down a river.

The Faringdon Rotary Club in Oxfordshire organises a charity duck race each year. This year their duck race will be held at Millets Farm. To get to the River Ock where the ducks will be launched, pass through the farm and into Phoebe Woods and then you'll see plenty of people heading down to the River Ock. Don't forget the ground is uneven and could be muddy so wear sensible shoes.

It only costs £1 per duck to enter so you could get one for all of the family. The money raised will go to a couple of nominated charities selected by the Faringdon Rotary Club, Riding for the Disabled and the Air Ambulance — two great causes to support.

There are big prizes for the winners from £50 up to £300 for the winner.
