The role of parent is an important occupation that bears lots of responsibility. Although ensuring your child is happy, healthy and well educated is a challenging task, it is none the less a very rewarding and enjoyable one.

I think the best way to learn is by having at the same time. Turning education into playtime rather than work time is key, and it is all the better when the whole family get involved. That is why Merton Adult Education Centre are organising a Family Learning Festival, to encourage, parents, carers, and children to have fun learning together. The event runs from the 18th - 31th October and will be held at various locations in Merton, such as libraries and community centres.

All activities are free, but you need to register your place by calling 020 8274 5222. All children must be accompanied by an adult family member or carer.
