Entertainment Worth a Golden Egg

If you are looking for things to see that can be enjoyed together as a family, Hackney Empire has an entire season of entertaining shows and activities aimed at families with young children. Starting from 25th October, It includes classic tales, favourite kids' characters, contemporary music, and dancing.

Time2Shine Gospel Competition
25th October, 20 - 25

The gospel version of X-Factor, Time2Shine has been televised on Sky, going through auditions, bootcamp, and live performances. The final is taking place at Hackney Empire, where you can find out the winner.

Baby Disco
26th October, 5 adult, 3 child

Empire 2 will be transformed into a disco with cool tunes for all ages.

Grand Union Orchestra
2nd November, 5 adult, 3 child

Grand Union Orchestra is offering a whole day of family events. In the morning you can meet the musicians and see instruments from around the world. If you have an unusual instrument, you're invited to bring it along and learn more about it. Then in the afternoon there will be a performance on the main stage.

Mother Goose
22nd November - 4th January, 10 - 32

In a classic pantomime performance, find out what happens to Mother Goose when she is given Princess Priscilla, the golden egg laying wonder.

Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom
1st & 2nd April, 13.50 - 15.50

Join fairy princess Holly, and Ben the elf in the Little Kingdom, where they go off on lots of exciting adventures. Ben and Holly will help Gaston the Ladybird clean up his messy cave, tvisiti The Big World with the tooth-fairy, Nanny Plum, and plan a surprise birthday party for King Thistle.

Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano
6th & 7th June, 13.50 - 15.50

In a new action-acked musical production by Peppa Pig director, Richard Lewis, The Octonauts appear on stage for the first time on a deep sea adventure.
