I have fond memories of the
City Art Centre, because when I was 9 I came here with my Primary School to see The Gold of the Pharaohs exhibition. We were rehearsing for a performance of Joseph and his Technicoloured Dreamcoat, and the visit had been arranged to provide inspiration for our set design.
Some years later, and I'm not going to say how many, the City Art Centre is still providing inspiration for children taking their first steps into the world of art.

On Saturday 6th October, you can drop-in to explore the exhibitions, and then make creative art with the Visitor Assistants in a variety of different mediums including pastel, pencils, conte, textures, and collage.
The drop-in sessions take place on the ground floor of the City Art Centre. The event is free, but must be booked in advance. This can be done through Margaret Findlay on 0131 529 5212.
