For the finest corsets on the planet - and more besides

You may have wondered what this place is all about - if you have noticed it as you walk your way through Spitafields. Well, today, let me tell you why you should never walk past it again.

Fairy Goth Mother is not your average boutique. It specialises in all kinds of fine women's clothing, but especially corsets and lingerie. As you can imagine, this lends their particular style to the burlesque, which is rather popular right now.

Built out of a genuine love for corsetry, Fairy Goth Mother started out as an online shop in 1999, before growing and creating a shop in Spitafields, along with one in Camden. The shop is now the frontispiece to one of the world's largest steel-boned corsetiers.

Being that corsets remind you of a particular era, it is probably worth noting that the shop also sells fashions inspired and influenced by these certain bygone eras, especially those of the 1920's to 1950's. You will find both online and in store such items as tea length dresses, swing dresses (from the dance of the same name) and the more retro styles such as pencil dresses.

Finally, the time when a woman most wants attention to detail is on her wedding day, and thankfully this shop specialises here too, with a vast array of styles and cuts to satisfy the most demanding of customers for their big day.

Take a trip back in time and enjoy a shop which really knows how to deliver the quality of yesteryear...
