If you've never been to Balham you've missed out on a treat - as hidden just around the corner from the train station is one of the best events pubs you are likely to find in the whole of South London. And when I say events, just about has everything.

There's food of course - and this comes in the form of copious amounts of cocktails, and delicious thin and crispy pizzas as provided by Pizza Fiend. The weekend also brings a rather delicious brunch menu, including such delights as "Dirty Cromarty Crab Mac and Cheese" or even a little "Smashed Avocado on Toast".

So far so good. But it is the events that you really should come here for, after all, there are many, many to choose from. You can see classic films to modern blockbusters, go to speed flatmating events or even dance around to DJs at the weekends. This is nowhere near all. Want to watch the rugby? You probably can. How about getting a bit creative? Well, you might as well get yourself along to the Wednesday life drawing class. This is just the tip of a very big iceberg, as you will find all of this plus drag brunches and karaoke rooms and...well, just head down there and see for yourself.

So there you have it, , a place to get your creativity on, have a decent drink and feed, or simply just plonk yourself in front of the tv and catch up on the latest scores - Balham's best-kept secret is now out.
