The pen behind the hotel room and teens
Meeting the person whose words have brought you an emotion is undeniably a powerful moment. Is the author as you pictured, do they seem to be the kind of person who would write such literature? Either way meeting a novelist is always a special moment.

Teen queen and New York Times best-selling author Maureen Johnson will be at Waterstones on New Street on the 5th of October talking shop about her teen series, signing copies, and discussing her literature Suite Scarlet which is being published in the UK for the first time.

If you loved Louise Rennison's 'Nunga Nungas' series, like I did at fourteen, then Johnson's book will be right up your street.

I blamed Rennison's books for my sudden liking of boys, but I guess when your thoughts are written down, never mind published in a shiny-covered book you realise you're not the only one whose wondered 'why? ' at every stage of puberty.
